Philadelphia Band Advances to Top 10 in Mid-Atlantic Band Competition

PHILADELPHIA, PA, JUNE 4, 2009 – Philadelphia band Parkwright, represented by Monster Entertainment, secured a top 10 spot in this year’s Mid-Atlantic Band Competition. The competition will decide the top four bands who will take the stage at this year’s Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA, July 31-Aug. 9, 2009.

Parkwright’s journey was challenging as 220 bands competed for a top 10 spot. Online voting re-opened Tuesday, June 2 and will continue until Saturday, June 20. This last round of voting will determine the final four bands. Parkwright members George Farrell, Paul Hocynec, Chris Wagner, CJ Morgan and Chris Mehr are excited about the possibility of performing at this year’s Musikfest.

“Musikfest is a huge event in the music industry. We knew the competition would be fierce with 220 bands competing for four spots! Our plan is to keep turning heads and getting votes,” said Wagner.
