Max Hole To Fill UMGI Leadership Role

Max Hole has been promoted to COO of Universal Music Group International (UMGI), following the confirmation last month that Lucian Grainge will become UMG's CEO.

Hole's new London-based role takes effect from July 1. He will report to Grainge, currently UMGI Chairman/CEO, who will maintain operational responsibility for the U.K. and French businesses when he heads up UMG.

Doug Morris is stepping down after 15 years. The man that started it all will still remain on the board according to this wiki update.

CEO Doug Morris is planning on stepping down from his position in the summer of 2010. UMG Is expected to promote its Chairman/CEO of Universal Music International Lucian Grainge to CEO of the company next year. Morris, who turned 71 in December 2009, is not expected to retire and will likely retain his title as chairman of UMG and remains a member of Vivendi's management board. LINK

I can't even begin to describe just how busy I have been over the last month. Between celebrating my 31st birthday, visiting family in Ohio, working hard for Graffiti Radio, Monster Entertainment, Black Ink MMG, Delmarva Broadcasting and house hunting, it's been a ride for sure! It's been an interesting battle between the two social networking giants! MySpace started out so strong only to get the smack down laid upon them by Facebook. It happened fast too! I think it was all the extras that MySpace tried to add in an attempt to compete with Facebook. Things just went totally down hill for MySpace. I know for me it was the never ending buggyness of MySpace. My mail hasn't worked since Halloween!



And, what's with this Google Buzz? I'm not sure I want to be socially networked anymore?! By the time it's all said and done I'm going to have 35 different sites to log onto every morning to check mail. I'm hoping someone invents a site to tie them all together soon or it's going to get confusing.





The next battle, Google Buzz vs. Facebook... who will win?
